Emergency Preparedness

In addition to the contracts with the towns to support community health needs, the VNA is also an associate Member of the Medical Reserve Corps of Martha’s Vineyard. The VNA participates in the planning for responses to emergency situations that might arise on the Island. Such emergencies might include pandemics similar to the recent H1N1 influenza outbreak, or medical support during disasters such as hurricanes.
