Community Education
“Volunteering for the VNA is so important! They do so much, and I know that someday I am going to need them. So, I do what I can to help now.” - Guinevere Cramer, MVSB Classic Golf Tournament volunteer
The VNA community nurse each year establishes an education plan that helps provide additional health education in the community. Working with the senior centers around the Island, the nurse will provide information to seniors on a wide variety of topics- from diabetes to breast cancer and more. Working with the public schools the VNA nurse will provide some tutorials to children on various topics from proper dental care to hand washing techniques and more.
