About the Vineyard Nursing Association

Since 1984, Vineyard Nursing Association has brought professional and compassionate home health care to people of all ages on Martha’s Vineyard. We are a private, non-profit, community-based home health care agency.

The VNA provides an array of health services including skilled nursing and therapies in the home, private care for individuals and families needing more help then insurance will cover, as well as  supporting community health programs.

Our team is "on the road" everyday - nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, medical social workers and home health aides - bringing care and compassion right to each patient's home, sharing in their struggles and successes as they recover and cope.

Changes in the health care environment over the years such as earlier hospital discharges have lead to an increasing need for the services of the VNA. We are proud that we have met all the challenges as we have grown to more than 70 employees, providing more than 30,000 home visits annually. In the process we have cared for thousands of people, and generations of families, from all walks of life, of all ages, in every town, circumstance, and level of health.
